Colleen uses a web-based tool called Skype™ – software that lets you make free voice calls to anyone else using Skype™ as well as group chat – as a way to conference with her online students. Colleen has adopted this means of virtual conferencing to enhance communication within her online programs using a learning-management system. Her students in e-learning are getting extra value as they are learning about a useful tool they can use in their own practice as e-learning facilitators.
